Federal Electronic Health Record Annual Summit

The 2026 Federal Electronic Health Record (EHR) Annual Summit hosted by the Federal Electronic Health Record (FEHRM) office occurred on September 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Eastern Time.

More than 2,500 upcoming, new, and experienced Federal EHR end users from the Department of War, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Coast Guard, and Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration joined the summit. Participants shared feedback on the Federal EHR, collaborated with peers, and earned continuing education units.

Attendees helped Department leaders, community providers, and leading clinical experts assess the use of the Federal EHR and discuss opportunities to enhance it to better serve Service members, Veterans, and other beneficiaries. Every question submitted and recommendation shared is being cataloged and reviewed. This input will directly inform ongoing efforts to ensure the Federal EHR serves providers and patients effectively.
